About The Art Don Chase, an Ojibway artist, was born in Port Hope, Ontario in 1938. His passion for the fine arts was fuelled through his business career in the graphic arts industry. Formally trained at the Ontario College of Art, Don's awareness of his own roots has been intensified by endless research of native legends and traditions. He has developed his talent from a Native perspective, hence the deep emotion and sensitivity that has become a trademark of his art.
